About The Atlantic Polzeath
Providing a relaxed environment and a menu that champions top-quality food inspired by the Mediterranean – with a Cornish influence, of course – sharing quality time and great food and drink remains the focus of what we do. Whether it’s passing around small plates, or fighting your siblings over the last piece of our 20-inch pizzas, our goal is simple: to bring people together through great food and drink, all from a spectacular frontline position overlooking the ocean, The Atlantic.
The restaurant was first established in the summer of 2020, as the country began to re-appear after weeks of separation and isolation. The founding ethos, therefore, focused itself on reuniting people and helping them regain a sense of normality. It was bought by the company behind Harbour Brewing and Treleavens Ice Cream – both household Cornish names in their own right – and the restaurant was, in fact, run by one of our Directors back when it was the old Atlantic House Hotel and Doom Bar!
With food and drink firmly in the family, as it were, we continue to champion a commitment to Cornwall and its incredible producers. What’s more, we believe that variety is the spice of life. Menus, therefore, change seasonally, whilst our specials board is often updated daily, depending on the availability of local ingredients. Oh, and as you might expect, we also sell a range of our award-winning Harbour beers and Treleavens ice creams – made on our farm just a few miles from the restaurant.
In terms of the location, we believe there are few places more inspirational to relax and dine in Cornwall. Sunsets here are some of the best you’ll find in the UK; the local surfers make for great spectator’s sport, and for those who like to work up an appetite before they sit down to eat, the local walks and wider north Cornwall landscape provide what can only be described as an explorer’s paradise.
